Isn’t is supposed to be winter? You know, calling off rides because of the rain or mud. Well, not this past weekend, 11/15/08. Fires to the north and east, combined with the Santa Ana winds, made for smoky conditions in the western half of Los Angeles. Managed a short ride on Saturday, but Sunday the smoked called off a bigger ride. Many hundreds of homes were lost, but thankfully no lives that we know of. Oh, and did I mention the 90 degree temps? It does look like things will be much better this coming weekend.
